I love the natural beauty and architecture of the low country here in Bluffton, especially Oldfield, the community I am fortunate enough to call home. The rivers and marshes have such an abundance of wildlife. It is just so relaxing and enjoyable to spend time around the water. I love low country architecture, homes with a great natural setting, massive live oak trees with Spanish moss and a wide front porch. My family and I found a community that just feels like home, I love having the opportunity to help others find a place that feels like home to them.
I am so happy to offer exceptional real estate service prioritizing impeccable marketing, and market knowledge. I work with both buyers and sellers, and am a guide throughout every transaction.
Before my real estate chapter, I had a 25-year career with Publix, one of the Southeast’s largest retail companies. I started in Florida in 1993 and relocated to Bluffton in 1999. I helped the company expand and grow in Hilton Head Island, Bluffton, and Savannah, opening 10 new locations in the surrounding area.
Q. What are 5 things you can’t live without and why?!
1. My family: I am blessed to have a beautiful wife and two daughters ages 4 and 18. Family is so important, life is best when you enjoy it with family!
2. Phone: I have a love-hate relationship with my phone. It is a necessary evil for business. You can do almost anything from your phone now, and it's hard to live without.
3. Diet coke: I have tried many times to quit the stuff but just can't. I'll keep trying, maybe one day I'll kick the habit.
4. Nice shoes: I love nice quality comfortable shoes.
5. Dohm noise machine: Must have to get a good nights sleep. I can't sleep without it!
Q. You have a full day off, no obligations or work, what do you do?
A. I'd sleep in until 8 am if possible. Relax at home, watch a little news and tv, go for a bike ride, and maybe the gym. I'd just enjoy spending time with my wife and two daughters. I'd tackle some projects around the house as well!
Q. Describe your perfect day from start to finish in the area you serve!
A. I live in the Oldfield Community here in Bluffton, SC. My perfect day would start out with cooking a big homemade breakfast followed by relaxing for a bit spending some time with the kids and family. I'd go for a bike ride to get in a little exercise, then have a light lunch before a round of golf with friends. I would have a great babysitter lined up so my wife and I can go out for a nice dinner at one of our favorite restaurants. Then we'd head home and hop in bed, thankful for that perfect day we just had. :)
Q. What is your favorite time of year in your city and why?
A. Springtime here in Bluffton, SC. I love the warmer weather in the spring, the azaleas and camellias start blooming, the trees and grass start greening up and it is just a great time of year to get outside and enjoy the outdoors, playing golf, working in the yard.
Q. Tell us a story about your most interesting transaction!
A. I wouldn't necessarily say I have had any really interesting transactions. But the people you meet and help along the way are interesting. I recently had the privilege of helping a retired firefighter with 35 years of service and his wife relocate to the area. He was a first responder on the ground at the 9/11 attack at the Pentagon and shared some very detailed accounts of his time with the department and his experience on 9/11. I was honored to be able to spend some time getting to know them and helping them start a new journey in retirement.
