Rachel Umbreit

Rachel Umbreit

Marketing Director

Rachel has been a licensed real estate agent in the beautiful coastal city of Savannah since 2013. With a strong background in both design and customer service, she is excited for the opportunity to utilize her skills for helping others while working with one of the leading real estate firms serving the Savannah area.

“I understand that buying or selling a home is one of the most significant decisions a person will make in his or her lifetime,” Umbreit said. “Nothing is too trivial to discuss nor is any question too silly to ask when comes to such an important experience. I care about my clients and want them to not only be comfortable, but to enjoy the process as well.”

Originally from the Midwest, Umbreit fell in love with Georgia when passing through on one of her many trips with her husband. They happily became a statistic by deciding they were tired of the cold northern winters and journeyed south to lay down roots among the oak trees and history of Savannah. She segued from her original studies of fashion design, in which she holds a B.F.A., into the fascinating world of architecture and real estate thanks in part to the unique Historic District of downtown Savannah.

Combining passion, organization, and an eye for design, she enjoys helping clients realize their real estate goals. Whether it’s selling the current house to upgrade to a dream home or guiding a first-time home buyer through the process, clients can count on her to take a personal interest and be there for every step of the journey. She feels fortunate to have found a place with a top local company where she is encouraged to focus on the most important aspect of her career in real estate — her relationship with her customers and the community.

Umbreit is affiliated with the Savannah Board of Realtors, Georgia Association of Realtors and the National Association of Realtors. She and her husband enjoytheir home near Daffin Park with their dog and two cats. They enjoy world travel and lived for a time in New Zealand. She has enjoyed volunteering around the community for various organizations such as Memorial University Medical Center, the Savannah Book Festival and the Savannah Food & Wine Festival.

Julie graduated from Georgia State University in Atlanta, Georgia, with a degree in Hotel Management. She moved back to her hometown of Savannah to start working at the new Hyatt Hotel on Savannah's famous River Street. She soon got married to a native Savannahian and they have two wonderful daughters. After raising her girls, Julie was ready to go back to work full time. She got her start in real estate after working off and on, on a part time basis, for a local retail business. She has been practicing real estate now for over 11 years! Julie has had listings and sales from Isle of Hope to the Historic District. As you can tell, there has been a pattern with all Julie's employment over the years. She has always gravitated toward the service industry, whether it be hotel management, retail, or real estate. Agent Liasan

As an Alabama native, I moved to Savannah with little understanding of this magical city. It didn’t take long, however, for me to become completely smitten with the architecture, mossy oaks and rivers, and cultural diversity. Before making Savannah my “Forever Home,” I studied Marketing and Public Relations at the University of Alabama. After spending three years in Washington, D.C. as a Legislative Aid to Congressman Terry Everett, I married my husband Jason and moved to Savannah. I was immediately drawn to the creativity and energy of the Historic District and surrounding islands. I worked at the Savannah College of Art and Design in the Admissions Department as a College Recruiter and Transfer Evaluator.

After having my third daughter, I was so fortunate to meet Celia. She hired me to assist with marketing and social media, and soon encouraged me to get my Real Estate license. I continue to work with agents and assist an amazing team in marketing Celia Dunn Sotheby’s International Realty.

Bluffton Office Coordinator

I joined Sotheby’s International Realty in October of 2019 as office coordinator. Most recently I worked for a local custom home builder and prior to that I was employed by Toll Brothers Corp. as Membership Director for the Hampton Hall Club, a local community, for 7+ years.

I have been visiting the island since 1969 and moved here permanently 15 years ago. I enjoy the splendor and beauty of the lowcountry every day. My passion is “people” and I enjoy working at organizations that make a difference in other’s lives, so I am thrilled to join the staff of Celia Dunn Sotheby’s International Realty.
